What You'll Do

As a Consulting Associate in Acumen’s Commercial Strategy Practice, you will play a crucial role in enabling clients to transform their business in a significant way. This role will assist in producing recommendations to grow the business, focused on commercial strategies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Gathering and Analyzing data – collect, organize and thoroughly analyze data from various resources such as stakeholders’ interviews, market research (qualitative and quantitative), financial data, industry trends and competitive info to support the development of recommendations and solutions for clients.
  2. Develop Recommendations – based on the data collected and analyzed, Consulting Associates provide initial strategy recommendations using Acumen Intellectual Properties (framework, process, criteria) and/or global best practice benchmarks.
  3. Prepare reports and presentations – Consulting Associates are responsible for preparing reports and presentations and presenting findings and initial recommendations to senior management and clients.
  4. Lead day-to-day project management and effectively manage timelines and delivery of success outcomes.
  5. Teamwork and collaboration – Consulting Associates work as part of a team and must be able to collaborate effectively with other team members, including senior consultants, associates, clients and third-party resources. Must be willing and comfortable to work in a hybrid environment – mostly working online but maybe required to meet face-to-face with from time to time.
  6. Help in implementing solutions – As necessary, Consulting Associates work with Consultants/Senior Consultants and clients to implement the recommendations developed.
  7. Associate Work collaboratively with and support the consulting team (Client Director, Consultant, Subject Matter Experts) to deliver value to the client.
  8. Continual learning: Consulting Associates should be flexible and willing to continuously learn and improve their knowledge and skills in the consulting field and their industry.

Who You'll Work With

You will report directly under the Commercial Strategy Program Director and work with different internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing, Business or related course is required, master's degree in business related course preferred
  • 3+ year experience in Brand Management, Research or Strategic Planning in a Multinational or Large Local Companies
  • Experienced in Business Analysis, Target Market Analysis and Segmentation, Market Research Planning – Qualitative and/or Quantitative, Generating Consumer Insights, New Product Innovation, Competitive Understanding, Brand/Product Value Proposition Development, Strategy work - Portfolio or Pricing Strategy, Market Launch
  • Demonstrated Strengths in:
  1. Analytical Thinking - ability to break-down complex issues and parts into smaller more manageable parts and using logic to solve problems
  2. Data-Based Decision-Making - analyzing large volume of qualitative and quantitative data, identifying patterns and drawing logical conclusions
  3. Problem-Solving Skills –Solutions oriented and agile in addressing challenges
  4. Business Acumen - understands business dynamics and industry trends
  5. Project Management - organized in keeping track of tasks, deadlines, and resources to ensure timely delivery and success outcomes
  6. Communication and Presentation Skills - speaking with clarity and confidence, building trust and engagements
